About me
I’m Amy, an Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor based in Bristol. I’m passionate about supporting people on their journey to know themselves more fully, in ways that can bring about meaningful and lasting change.
My path into this work began over 15 years ago through the practice of yoga. This ancient wisdom opened my eyes to the profound connection between mind and body, and became the catalyst for my own journey of healing. I’m deeply engaged in my own psycho-spiritual development: it is an ongoing process that continues to inform my work with clients and my understanding of the often messy, complex nature of being human.
I believe that therapy should be grounded, collaborative, and sometimes even playful; a space where you can feel safe and curious to explore all parts of yourself.
Qualifications
I am a fully qualified and accredited Integrative Psychotherapist & Counsellor.
I completed my Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapy (level 7) at the CCPE (Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education). In addition to running my private practice, I have worked at various psychotherapy services across London and Bristol, which means I’m experienced working with a wide range of issues.
I have completed further training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and other trauma-informed modalities.
As an accredited member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), I abide by their ethical guidelines and codes of practice. I hold liability insurance with Holistic Insurance.
I am also a senior accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS); and an individual member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
