FAQs
-
The length of the therapy will depend on the type of issues that we explore in our sessions. We will discuss your wishes and goals at the start of our work, and from this we can agree on a set number of sessions. Alternatively we may also decide to work in an open-ended manner.
-
We will meet on the same day and time every week. This regularity creates the continuity needed to support progress and maintain momentum in our work together.
-
My fee per session is £65-80.
I also offer a number of concessionary spaces for low-income individuals, subject to availability.
-
If you need to cancel a session, I kindly ask for at least 48 hours notice. I understand that life can be unpredictable, and while I’ll do my best to offer flexibility, rescheduling may not always be possible. In such cases, the full session fee will apply.

I am trained both as a psychotherapist and counsellor. The terms psychotherapy and counselling are often used interchangeably, but there are some differences in focus and depth.
Counselling tends to be shorter-term and solution-focused. It covers present-day issues like work stress, relationship problems or a recent bereavement.
Psychotherapy generally goes deeper, exploring underlying patterns, unconscious processes, and long-term emotional difficulties. It addresses the root cause of issues from the past such as childhood trauma, alongside existential questions about loss of meaning.
